Introducing the Douthitt CTS30

While most of the screen printing process has been automated in some way or another at this point, there’s still some parts of the process that are being done by hand. Imagine a day when you could speed and ease the process of putting your artwork on your screens. The great news is that the technology exists, and Ryonet has been working to help bring it into your shop.

We recently partnered with Douthitt on the CTS30–a Computer to Screen, wax based printer–so that we could make that dream come true.

The Douthitt CTS30 has a proven 12 year track record of reliability, longevity, and sustainability, with units out in the field that are still running strong. The CTS30 is a product that simply will not let you down.

The output of the CTS30 has been maximized with the Xitron/Harlequin RIP software that works with it. This system can create custom workflows that can be tailored specifically for the type of screens your shop produces, such as CMYK, Simulated Process, Spot Colors, and more. It puts you in full control of your LPI, your ability to change dot shape, as well as the angle of the dot.

Are you running a ROQ? There is an optional ROQ-compatible 3-point locking system, allowing you to slash your registration time in half and keep your press running.

Another great advantage of using the CTS30 is that the wax ink it uses gives you a higher quality printed dot, with superior density when compared to film and other inkjets. Wax ink offers the best droplet fidelity and a much higher density, giving you fully hardened screens that are far more durable during on-press production.

The CTS30 is capable of producing up to 240 screens per 8-hour work shift at a resolution of 600 DPI, and up to 85 LPI if needed.
