Screen Printing on Your Business Boxes | Screenprinting.com

When you receive a box in the mail and it has the company’s logo printed onto it, the package just feels a little extra, doesn’t it?  However it was done, the company reached for that extra step and your order came in a branded, personalized box that looks much snazzier than a plain one.

So, why shouldn’t you do this for your own business?  It seems like such a small detail, but printing on your boxes is a great way to set your company apart from the rest.  It looks cooler, it functions as advertisement, and it keeps your business on people’s minds.  You already have most, if not all, of the tools you need!

For printing on cardboard boxes, you’ll want to work with a water based ink, like our Green Galaxy line.  Water based inks are best for this as they absorb into the cardboard, giving you a smooth and clean design like you might see in a store.  Plastisol inks are made to sit on top of the substrate, so you would end up with a thick, chunky layer on your box.

You’ll need your water based ink, 200 or 230 mesh screens, and your press set to about a 1/8th inch off-contact.  Pull a design you want to show the world together, then you’re ready to print some of your very own custom boxes!  Do a large run of them so you don’t have to think about it for a while, you can just pull one off the stack.
